Government keen to extend cancer treatment to villages: Eatala

Hyderabad: Health Minister Eatala Rajender has stated that efforts were being made to include Cancer treatment in all 11 teaching hospitals in the State. He said that his government is trying to extend Cancer treatment to even hospitals and clinics in villages.
Taking part in a Cancer awareness programme held on Friday, the Minister walked with other participants from Sanjeevaiah Park to Jalavihar. He said that Cancer and Heart-related diseases are increasing year after year in the country.
"Early detection is key for Cancer treatment. Hence, government is equipping Area hospitals and PHCs with Cancer detection equipment. Also, mobile vehicles with required equipment are being run in rural areas," the Minister said.
