Huzurnagar (Suryapet): Huzurnagar MLA Shanampudi Saidi Reddy appealed to the people to extend cooperation in making Huzurnagar a plastic free town. He launched the 10,000 cloth bags distribution programme organised by Oruganti Kanthamma Venkaiah and his son Satyanaryana in the name of Memu Saitham on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, "swachh Huzurnagar is possible when all the citizens take equal responsibility in town maintenance." He appreciated the organisers for providing cloth bags to every household in the town and stopping the use of plastic bags, which are harmful to the environment.

He called upon various trusts, NGOs and good Samaritans of the society to come forward in making Huzurnagar a beautiful and role model town in the State.

Municipal Commissioner Syed Ankushavali, Oruganti family members Himavathi, Rajya Laxmi, Shalini, Sandeep, Shalini, Santhosh, Ram Murthy, Gayathri, Shilpa, Prameela, Radha, Shyamala, Anand Kumar, Municipal staff and others participated in the programme.
