Hyderabad: AICC secretary Ch Vamsi Chand Reddy on Thursday demanded that the Chief Minister should apologise to the state for financial indiscipline and for imposing cuts in salaries and pensions. Addressing the media, he said that though the Telangana government claimed that it was rich in financial resources, the salaries and pensions have been cut in the past two months on the pretext of lockdown.

He pointed out that poor states like Odisha and Chhattisgarh have been paying full salaries to the employees and full pension to pensioners in the past two months. He said that the Comptroller and Auditor General has expressed concern over payment of higher rates of interest by Telangana government.
