The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad has initiated a 15-day cleanliness and sanitation drive as a part of 'Swachh Bharat Pakhwada'.
The airport management, staff and all other stakeholders of the airport including CISF, customs officials, concessionaires and ground handlers took up the clean up drive. The airport also began an awareness campaign across the terminals and its social media handles to promote Swachh Bharat Pakhwada.
It should be known that the Hyderabad international airport is the first of its kind in the country to have airport-based captive compost plant to process food waste into organic compost.
