Hyderabad: BJP asks Telangana government to pay full salaries to its employees
Telangana BJP has condemned the State government's decision not to pay full salaries to the government employees in June.
Hyderabad: Telangana BJP has condemned the State government's decision not to pay full salaries to the government employees in June.
State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar demanded the State government to immediately pay full salaries to the government employees, besides implementing the promises made to them. He said that Telangana is the only state in the entire country which has decided to implement a pay cut in the salary of its employees for the third month since the announcement of lockdown.
He said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has been going around for the last six years telling people that Telangana is a rich state. But, "the current situation exposes that the State has gone bankrupt under the TRS government throwing the economy into doldrums and not able to pay even a month's full salary to its employees."
The Karimnagar MP said the government employees have to get the PRC implemented from 2018. However, there is no word about it and even they could not get even the 27 per cent interim relief being announced by their counterparts like their counterparts in Andhra Pradesh.
The current economic scenario of the State exposes the lies of the TRS. "It could not fill even 40,000 jobs against a promise of filling up one lakh jobs. There is no word about increasing the retirement age to 61 years," he said.
Similarly, the contract employment which it wanted to completely end in the State continues to flourish. The BJP leader said that the TRS government has brought the State to such a pass that it cannot run it, unless the Centre provides loans to it. It has lost the moral right to run the State, he said.
