Hyderabad: A State BJP delegation led by its president Dr K Laxman and MLC N Ramachander Rao on Monday met TS Director General of Police M Mahendar Reddy and demanded a comprehensive probe to weed out all the illegal immigrants from the State.

They said a large chunk of Rohingyas are illegally staying in the State and it is inextricably linked to the safety and security of the nation. In a memorandum submitted to the DGP, the BJP leaders said that the time and gain the TS BJP has been pointing out how Hyderabad and rest of the State have become safe heaven for Rohingya Muslims.

The claimed, "124 out of the 127 people that the UIDAI slapped with notices for obtaining Aadhar Cards by producing fake documents are Rohingya Muslims." Non-Indians securing all such cards make it a matter of serious concern.

But, it seems the State government have not taken a serious view of the same. Also, there are credible reports that the Rohingya Muslims have obtained Aadhar cards, voter IDs, ration cards and many of them are even getting pension under various State welfare schemes, they said.

Later addressing the media, Laxman said that a thorough probe is needed as the illegal immigrants have also been allegedly encroaching upon the government lands and creating fake residential documents.

However, the police are left with no option but to keep silent as the ruling TRS is supporting AIMIM. The AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi is taking to Twitter asking the State DGP as to why the Rohingya Muslims were arrested exposes how the Majlis is directing terms to the ruling TRS, he said.

Laxman said that the IT Minister KT Rama Rao tweets on everything but he remained quiet to the AIMIM chief tweet to the DGP. This makes police to take the issue of illegal migrants lightly and "even those arrested were being treated as sun-in-laws by the police," he alleged.

He asked the people to be united and extend their support to the initiatives taken by the Centre in the interest of the nation and teach a lesson to TRS and AIMIM.

He asked people to take part in the pro-CAA meeting of Union Home Minister Amit Shah going to be held in March in the city.
