Peerjadiguda: As part of Patana Pragathi programme, budget estimation for 2020-21 programme was held at the municipal corporation here on Thursday.
District Collector Vasam Venkateshwarlu was present. He said one third of self funds of municipality should be spent on development lacking areas, areas where weaker sections reside, minority residential areas and amenities for slums. Remaining funds will be spent on development of parks, grave yards, dumping yards, construction of toilets and integrated fairs.
Later, Mayor J Venkat Reddy tabled the budget and corporators approved it. Then, the Collector attended budget meeting in Boduppal corporation where Mayor S Buchi Reddy introduced the budget. Additional Collector John Samson, Peerjadiguda Deputy Mayor Shiva Kumar Goud, Muncipal Commissioner Srinivas, Boduppal deputy mayor Lakshmi, Muncipal Commissioner Shankar, Tahsildar Anitha, corporators and others were present.
