Hyderabad: AICC Secretary Ch Vamshi Chand Reddy on Saturday expressed his indignation against the Union government for huge hike in petroleum products in the country.

In a statement he said that with the latest hike, petrol prices have touched Rs 81.88 per liter in Hyderabad and diesel prices Rs 75.91 per liter.

In Mumbai, petrol price has reached to Rs 85.72 per litre while diesel to Rs 75.54 per litre. Vamshi pointed out that the price of crude oil in 2014 during the UPA regime was $107.09 per barrel and it was $ 40.66 per barrel at present. However, the then UPA regime never allowed to go retail prices beyond Rs 75 per litre.
