Hyderabad: Corporate hospitals have come forward to give 50 per cent beds in their facilities to the State government in its fight against Covid-19. They conveyed their decision to Health Minister Eatala Rajender during a meeting on Thursday.

In wake of recent developments with the government publicly expressing displeasure over exorbitant treatment charges being collected by the hospitals to treat corona patients, the Health Minister held a meeting with members of Telangana Super-Specialty Hospitals Association.

The association member told the Minister that they were ready to offer 50 per cent beds in their hospital to be will be filled by the Health department only. Also, treatment of the covid patients would be done as per government fixed treatment rates. It was agreed in the meeting that a separate mobile app would be created by the Health department and through it patients would be allocated by the officials in various corporate hospitals

To take this further, the hospital managements would be holding a meeting with Director, Health Dr G Srinivas Rao on Friday.
