Hyderabad: A 45-day Karra samu (stick-fight) and Katti samu (sword-fight), the age-old traditional Indian martial art, workshop organised for girls and women by Department of Language Art and Culture concluded at Ravindra Bharati on Thursday.

Mamidi Harikrishna, the Director of Language Art and Culture, said, "This is the first such workshop conducted in city. As a pilot project, we started this workshop. Girls and women were trained in the traditional Indian self-defence art using stick and sword. Around 60 people underwent the training. We received a huge response to this workshop and are planning to organise it again."
