Hyderabad: The Hyderabad city police on Monday denied permission to the Teachers' Association to hold 'Chalo Assembly' rally.

According to a press release issued from the Commissioner's office, it was stated that no gathering would be allowed in the vicinity of the Assembly, while the Assembly session was going on.

The Commissioner stated that smooth running of Assembly session is the foundation of a healthy democracy and it is our primary responsibility to ensure that there is no disturbance created.

The Commissioner also warned of strict legal action if any attempt was made to mobilise crowds for such 'Chalo Assembly' calls by the Teachers' Association.

"Their institution heads will also be informed for taking action at their level. The transport agencies are also advised accordingly," added the Commissioner.
