Grants provided by MSCA are available for all stages of a researcher's career. Fellows include PhD candidates and those carrying out more advanced research

Hyderabad: University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been selected as one of the partnering institutions for the Marie Sklodowska Curie COFUND programme by the European Union (EU).

University of Siegen, Germany, will be the host institution and the partners. MSCA is a set of major research fellowships created by the European Union/European commission to support research in ERA. MSCA fellowships are among Europe's most competitive and prestigious awards, aimed at supporting the best and most promising scientists.

Established in 1996 as Marie Curie Actions and known from 2014 as Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, it aims to foster the career development and further training of researchers at all career stages. Grants provided by MSCA are available for all stages of a researcher's career. Fellows include PhD candidates and those carrying out more advanced research.

The programme encourages individuals to work in other countries and makes the whole world a learning environment. They encourage collaboration and sharing of ideas between different industrial sectors and research disciplines. It also back initiatives that break down barriers between academia, industry and business. In addition, they reach out to the public with events that promote the value and fun side of science.

Prof K V Rajulapati from School of Engineering Science and Technology will coordinate activities related to COFUND programme at UoH.
