Warangal: Even as the recent goof-up surrounding Intermediate results is still fresh in the minds of people, the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) appears to have landed in an embarrassing situation. The news is that two boxes of question papers of advanced supplementary exams that were stored in the strong room of Mills Colony Police Station have gone missing.

Although the education authorities tried their best to keep the fiasco under the wraps, the news spread much to the embarrassment of the BIE. According to reports, the consignment of question papers reached the Mills Colony Police Station last week ahead of advance supplementary exams scheduled to begin on June 7.

Against this backdrop, the authorities found two of the boxes containing question papers of the exams to be held on June 9 and 10 missing. Not disclosing it to anyone, the authorities conducted a secret inquiry, however, they failed to make headway.

Initially, it was presumed that the school officials who also stored SSC supplementary question papers in the same strong room might have taken away the Inter question papers as well. But the authorities who conducted an inquiry found that there was no such bungling.

Meanwhile, the Mills Colony Police Station clarified that keys of strong room will be with the officials, hence, there was no negligence on their part.
