A monkey died due to electrocution in the village on Sunday. The villagers were disturbed as the monkey died on full moon day ‘Guru Purnima’, hence they decided to bid final farewell to the monkey in a proper manner.

Kamareddy: During the present Covid-19 situation, human beings were deprived of a decent cremation. Both getting a bed in the hospital and a smooth final journey are riddled with problems. Both in cities and villages, people living in the surroundings of cremation grounds are vociferously protesting against bringing the bodies.

At this time, residents of Sitarampalli village of Bichkunda mandal organised the farewell of a monkey, like they will do to a human being.

A monkey died due to electrocution in the village on Sunday. The villagers were disturbed as the monkey died on full moon day 'Guru Purnima', hence they decided to bid final farewell to the monkey in a proper manner.

Sarpanch Ryalangara Reddy, ex ZPTC Sandi Sairam and villagers took a procession with the monkey's body in a tractor to the graveyard and buried it.
