Karimnagar: State Planning Commission Vice-Chairman Boinpally Vinod Kumar stopped his convoy immediately after observing farmers cultivating cotton at Vedira village of Ramadugu mandal on Wednesday. He enquired farmers and labourers whether they are following Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's crop regulation policy.

Farmers replied that they are cultivating as per the CM's suggestions.

They said it is true that there are difficulties in cultivating single crop throughout the year, hence they are cultivating rice, cotton, vegetable crops also. MLA Sunkey Ravi Shankar, ex-ZP chairperson Tula Uma and others asked the farmers to follow the CM's guidelines in harvesting crops.
