Karimnagar: The RTC employees strike, which was started on October 5, is continuing with rallies, dharnas, dhoom-dham, vanta varpu,road blockade, displaying various get-ups and other unique programmes in the same way that were held during separate Telangana movement and are gearing up make the State-wide bandh on October 19 a grand success.

The strike entered 13th day on Thursday in Karimnagar district. Teachers and employee unions along with Left party leaders organised protests, dharnas, bike rallies in Nizamabad city on Thursday and tried to lay siege to BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister G Kamalakar's house.

Police prevented them and took Left party leaders into custody.

After learning about the arrests of Left party leaders and usage of unparliamentary words against them, the union members staged a dharna in front of the Municipal office.

The RTC employees conducted dhoom-dham programme in front of Karimnagar bus stand with several get-ups in protest against the government for not fulfilling their justifiable demands.

A few women RTC employees mocked suicide by hanging to the bus. Teachers and employees unions took out a bike rally.

On the other hand, the RTC employees are gearing up for the State-wide bandh call given by the RTC-JAC leaders on October 19 and are trying garner the support from various sections of the people along with the several people's organisations to make the bandh a grand success. Meanwhile, the police officials are also making tight security arrangements to face the bandh.
