Narketpally (Nalgonda): Congress Bhongir MP candidate Komatireddy Venkat Reddy stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao with political rivalry has completely ignored Brahmana Vellemla irrigation project, but has been paying special attention on Kaleshwaram project for kickbacks.

On Thursday, he carried out poll campaign at Narketpally, Yellareddygudem, Yedavellli, Nemmani, Tondlavai, Akkenepally and Cheruvugattu in Narketpally mandal of Nakrekal Assembly constituency.

Addressing the villagers, Komatireddy said only a few farmers in the State got Rythu Bandhu cheques, where as large number of them was still waiting for cheques. Similarly, many farmers were awaiting passbooks under land correction programme.

"It is the right time to show gratitude to Sonia Gandhi, who helped the creation of separate Telangana by supporting Congress party in the upcoming Parliament elections," he urged.

Stating that he resigned from his Minister post and took up a hunger strike for 14 days in Nalgonda for the formation of Telangana State, he informed that TRS has spent Rs 150 crore in Nalgonda constituency in recent Assembly election.

"KCR sold MP tickets to rich and ignored leaders like Gutha Sukender Reddy, Gutha Jithender Reddy who took part active role during Telangana agitation," he alleged, adding that even though TRS had 14 MPs in dissolved Parliament, it did nothing for the State and same would repeat in future if they win all the seats.

"KCR is planning to promote his son KTR as CM of the State and his daughter as Central Minister," he alleged.

He assured to complete the Brahmana Vellemla irrigation project designed to provide irrigation facility to 1 lakh acres in fluoride-hit areas of Nalgonda district.

Stating Congress party brought NREGS scheme to stop migrations and to provide minimum 100 days employment to rural people, he informed that AICC chief Rahul Gandhi's Rs 6,000 per month to poor would give new life to the BPL families.

He assured to raise the issues of Bhongir MP constituency and pending promises of State on the floor of the Lok Sabha if he was voted to power.

In this programme, party constituency in-charge Prasanna Kumar, local leaders, party workers and villagers participated.
