Kothagudem: The agitating employees of the State-run transport corporation staged an innovative protest under the guidance of Joint Action Committee leaders on the day 18 of their strike, in Kothagudem on Tuesday.

At around 4 am on Tuesday, the RTC workers and JAC leaders stood before the RTC depot garage and requested the drivers and the conductors appointed on a temporary basis to support their strike.

Speaking on the occasion, CPM coal town secretary Bhukya Ramesh appealed to the hired staff to support the strike.

He also demanded the State government to call the RTC unions immediately for talks. CPM leaders K Sridhar, L Bala Raju, T Anil and RTC workers took part in the protest.
