Man makes bid to kill daughter by strangling
A man attempted to kill her daughter by strangling her throat at Choutuppal on Friday. The incident came in to light on Sunday.
Hyderabad: A man attempted to kill her daughter by strangling her throat at Choutuppal on Friday. The incident came into light on Sunday.
The victim woman was hospitalised after the incident and the accused surrendered himself in the Choutuppal police station.
According to P Nageshwarlu, SHO, Choutuppal police station, the accused Yadaiah performed the marriage of his daughter on June 14 and on June 20 she left home with another man, who was earlier in love with her.
On June 21, when Yadaiah went to her daughter's lover house and fought with them and brought her back and kept her in his relative's house. On July 12, while bringing her to his house Yadaiah in anger tried to kill his daughter by strangling her throat at an isolated place near Choutuppal bus stand.
When she became unconscious, thinking that she had died, he called his son and told about the incident. Leaving her at the incident spot he went to the police station and surrendered. On the receipt of the information by the victim's brother a patrolling team rushed to the spot and shifted the victim to the nearby hospital for treatment.
Police said the condition of the victim is out of danger and she is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Police have registered a case under section 307 IPC and are investigating.
