Presently NTPC is one of the great places to work for and workers' contribution in making the company a world-class organisation is highly noteworthy," said chief guest of the occasion Vijai Singh, Chief General Manager, NTPC-Telangana Project while addressing the gathering on 133rd May Day celebrations at May Day Park of the plant here on Wednesday.
Singh hoisted the May Day flag and highlighted several initiatives taken by the Company for the welfare of the workers which include medical camps, audiometry checking, safety training, quality circles, work place safety and sanitation initiatives, awards for best workers etc. He further asked the workers to work with Safety First motto.
Earlier, Ch Upender, General Secretary, NTPC Democratic Employees Union-HMS welcomed the guests and briefed on the significance of the event. During this occasion, Dr Sasmita Dash, CMO; PK Laad, GM (TS); MS Ramesh, GM (HR); Soumendra Das, GM (Maintenance); BC Polai, GM (Operation); NTPC senior officials and office bearers and members of different unions and associations; employees and workers were present in large numbers.
