He distributed compensation cheques worth Rs 13,03,94,000 to 202 farmers, who gave away their land for Kaleshwaram project, under the project package number 27.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister said that the government is moving water from Kaleshwaram project to Sri Ram Sagar Project (SRSP) to packages 27 and 28 through canals to provide irrigation water to one lakh acres. The government is paying a compensation of Rs 9.75 lakhs per acre to the farmers, who lost their farmlands due to canal construction under Kaleshwaram project.

Mudhole MLA G Vittal Reddy, Nirmal District Collector M Prashanthi, Joint Collector A Bhaskar Rao, FACS chairman Ramkishan Reddy, Library chairman Dharmaji Ravender, RDO Prasunamba, Dr Ramana Reddy and others were present.
