Minor girl impregnated by grandfather in Jagtial

A 15-year-old was impregnated by her grandfather here at Jagtial. According to the police, the girl, who was studying Class 10 in Kasturba School has fallen ill following which the staff shifted her to a local hospital.

The doctors after examining her confirmed that the girl was pregnant. The girl's parents who came to know the issue confronted her and learned that she was sexually assaulted by her grandfather's brother.

However, the accused denied it and approached the police of having a threat to his life. Meanwhile, the girl lodged a complaint to the police after her parents refused it fearing of her future.

The police registered a case and launched a probe.
