Mulugu: 2 die in separate incidents
A farmer died of a lightning strike at Keshavapur village under Venkatapur (Ramappa) mandal in Mulugu district on Wednesday afternoon.
Mulugu: A farmer died of a lightning strike at Keshavapur village under Venkatapur (Ramappa) mandal in Mulugu district on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Gandra Devendra Rao (43). The incident occurred when he was working in his agriculture field. He died on spot. He is survived by his wife, two daughters. The police shifted the body to the MGM Hospital mortuary for postmortem. Based on a complaint by the wife of the victim, the police registered a case. Meanwhile, villagers urged the administration to assist the victim's family.
In another incident, a six-year-old Dudapaka Ramcharan died of snakebite at Nallagunta village in the mandal. The incident occurred when the boy was playing in front of his residence. The boy was taken to a quack doctor after he suffered snakebite, it's learnt.
