Kethepally (Nalgonda): As many as 15 migrant workers were seriously injured when the Bolero trolly they were travelling in was hit by a lorry near Inupamula of Kethepally mandal on Sunday.

According to sources, 15 migrant labourers including children, who work in brick kilns in and around Hyderabad, had lost work due to the lockdown, were going to their native place Addanki of Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh, in a Bolero trolly.

The vehicle driver, who was following Google maps, missed a direction. Instead of taking a diversion to Miryalguda at Narketpally, he went straight towards Suryapet on NH 65.

A lorry driver, going in the same direction, lost control and hit the Bolero from rear end near Inupamula village. The trolly was pushed to about 10 meters from the road. Among the 15 workers injured, six received grievous injuries.

There were four children among the passengers.

Kethepally police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Nakrekal Government Hospital. SI Ramakrishna observed the accident severity was more as the Bolero was having passengers more than its capacity. A case was registered and took up investigation.
