Team members to talk to cops, officials

Hyderabad: Amidst tight security, a team of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Sunday recorded the statements of the parents of Disha, who was gangraped and killed by four persons in the Greater Hyderabad limits recently.

NHRC members sought to know about the incident from the father, mother and sister of Disha. They wanted to know what exactly happened on that day.

According to the father and sister of Disha, the NHRC was probing the issues like whether the police had followed the procedure or not, etc. They wanted to know what was the sequence of events that took place after Disha spoke to her sister.

The parents explained the difficulties they faced to reach out to the place where the accused raped and burnt Disha. In fact, the NHRC team wanted to visit the house of Disha's parents and talk to them but since the local people staged a dharna against the Commission, they couldn't do so.

The tempers ran high as it was the eleventh day and the family members were busy completing the ceremonies.
