Superintendent of Police C Shashidhar Raju along with National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) Project Manager Venkataramana had identified nine accident blackspots on national highway 44 in Nirmal district on Monday.

Nirmal: Superintendent of Police C Shashidhar Raju along with National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) Project Manager Venkataramana had identified nine accident blackspots on national highway 44 in Nirmal district on Monday.

The nine accident prone areas are Soan bus stop, Madhapur crossroads, Kadthal crossroads, Mancherial crossroads, chain gate and Sirgapur Dilawarpur, Lolam NH-61on national highways.

The SP instructed the officials to put up speed breakers, warning signage boards, median reflectors and blinkers on national highways to prevent road accidents.

Besides these blackspots, efforts were on to identify more such areas, where accidents occur more. Nirmal DSP Upender Reddy, Soan Inspector Ramesh Babu, Nirmal Town Inspector John Diwakar, DCRB CI Srinivas, SB Inspector Venkatesh and Additional SP Dakshina Murthy and others were present.
