Hyderabad: Telangana State Joint Chief Electoral Officer (Joint CEO) Ravi Kiran Tirumala stated the that Election Commission is taking all measures to curb money and liquor flow besides keeping a close watch on paid news and hate speeches.

He informed that Flying Squad teams and Static Surveillance teams are working across the State to apprehend those violating the code. Ravi Kiran stated that strict action is being initiated against those violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

He informed that the ECI has laid down detailed guidelines on MCC during elections and any violation of the same by political parties, candidates or media would attract appropriate action as per procedure.

He urged citizens to download and use the C-VIGIL mobile app to report on any violation of code coming to their notice.

"The ECI is regularly monitoring complaints on the C-VIGIL app and teams are being dispatched within 100 minutes to take action.

Alternatively, people can call on Toll-Free No 1950 and report violations," he added.
