They have formed a Joint Action Committee (JAC) to take up the 'Deeksha'. The district CPI (M) leader N Narsimha Reddy extended the party's support to the fast. Addressing the protesters on Friday, he said that several pleas to the government to provide roads in the colonies in Ameenpur mandal have been ignored.
Now that the residents themselves have gone on fast to press the demand, the administration should at least respond positively and create the required facilities to people, he said.
