Khammam: Communist Party of India State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy stated that the RTC strike was legally valid.

Addressing the media after attending a party meeting in Khammam on Monday, Chada slammed the State government for not taking any interest in solving the issues of RTC workers though they were ready to join the duties.

Reiterating party's support to the agitating employees, he demanded the government to take a decision immediately with regard to the strike.

Fuming over government's decision to close 12,000 State-run schools, Chada demanded the government to take back its decision immediately.

Adding that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has crippled the entire Revenue system in the State, Chada also urged the government to complete land purification works at the earliest and handover passbooks to farmers and extend them the benefits of Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima schemes.

He said the party would work with the Left and like-minded parties in the upcoming municipal polls. Responding over the Maharashtra political imbroglio, the CPI leader accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of encouraging defections. The BJP is purely working to grab power in Maharashtra, he added.

Party's State assistant secretary Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao, Khammam and Kothagudem district party secretaries Bagam Hemanth Rao and SK Shabeer Pasha, State committee members B Ayodhya, P Prasad, P Kalavathi, District party assistant secretary D Suresh and member SK Janimiya attended the meeting.
