Sarpanch Neelam Madhu Mudiraj receives national award

Patancheru: Chitkul Sarpanch Neelam Madhu Mudiraj on Sunday received in New Delhi the 'Sevaratna National Award' which is given every year by the Bahujana Sahitya Academy during the All-India Bahujana Writers' national conference.

Speaking to the media here, Madhu said he was selected for the award because of the social and welfare services provided to people for years and efforts to develop the village as a model. He thanked the academy award committee for honouring him. Residents of Chitkul hailed the presentation of award to their sarpanch.
