A total of 7,093 innovative ideas were submitted by students as part of the 'Telangana School Innovation Talent-2020 (School Innovation Challenge exhibition)'. Out of these, 25 schools have set up a practical exhibition. The event was held at MCRHRD in Hyderabad and was attended by IT Minister KTR and Education Minister Sabita Indrareddy. They examined the devices made by the children.
Municipal Minister KTR also suggested the teachers introduce 'Innovative Experiments' as a topic in the school curriculum. He asked them to put a lot of emphasis on creativity at the school level, similar to engineering courses just like adding weightage to the marks sheet with Apprenticeship or Practice School programs. In addition to these ideas, he also wants to look at how to connect industries with schools. Teachers say that this program is very useful to bring out the creativity in students.
