Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls in TS from today
The Election Commission of India has announced the Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls with respect to January 1, 2020, as the qualifying date and the following schedule has been fixed for taking up the SSR, 2020 in Telangana state.
Hyderabad : The Election Commission of India has announced the Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls with respect to January 1, 2020, as the qualifying date and the following schedule has been fixed for taking up the SSR, 2020 in Telangana state.
The electoral verification programme would be done for a month beginning from August 1 to August 31. During the programme, citizens would be requested to come forward and authenticate existing elector's details by giving a copy of any of the documents including Passport, Driving Licence, Aadhaar, Ration Card and any other document as approved by the Commission.
House to house verification would be done by BLOs (Booth Level Officers) for one month from September 1 till Sept 30. BLOs would also collect information of un-enrolled/dead/shifted electors during this exercise.
The integrated draft electoral rolls would be published on October 15 while claims can be filed from October 15 till November 30. Final publication of elector rolls would be done between January 1 and 15 on a date to be decided by the Commission later.
Chief Electoral Officer Dr Rajat Kumar stated that all electors/eligible citizens who attain 18 years of age as on January 1, 2020, can file their applications for enrolment, objections and correction up to November 30, 2019.
