State govt did not fulfil even single poll promise: Congress MLA T Jagga Reddy
Congress MLA T Jagga Reddy on Thursday challenged the government to come into peoples’ court to discuss the allegations made by the Congress.
Hyderabad: Congress MLA T Jagga Reddy on Thursday challenged the government to come into peoples' court to discuss the allegations made by the Congress. He alleged that the State government did not fulfil even a single promise made by it before the Assembly elections last year in the first year of the second term.
Addressing the media, Reddy said the promises like allowance for the unemployed youth, loan waiver to farmers, creating new jobs and announcement of pay revision were not implemented so far.
He also expressed his concern over the 5th rank secured by the State in corruption. On the education front, he alleged that the sector was completely damaged, and the State government was now saying that it would close down 12,000 government schools thereby depriving poor students of education. He also said the State secured 13th rank in the education sector. Reddy claimed that 36 lakh farmers did not get loans so far from the State government.
He alleged that the Mission Bhagiratha scheme has been launched to benefit Megha Engineering company chairman Krishna Reddy. The MLA said that he would face any punishment if Minister T Harish Rao proves that drinking and irrigation water reached Sanga Reddy constituency through Kaleshwaram and Mission Bhagiratha projects. He wanted the government to give clarity as to whether the constituency development funds would be given or not.
