Karimnagar: Students can achieve greater heights in their lives in future if they learn the lessons with interest, advised District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed. He was the chief guest at an unique programme 'Shabash Bidda' organised by education department to felicitate students of government schools, who secured 10 GPA marks in SSC examinations, at the Collectorate auditorium in Karimnagar on Tuesday.

Appreciating the students, including teachers and parents, who encouraged the students, the Collector said that instead of studying forcibly, students must learn with interest by which they can remember the subject forever. Apart from engineering and medicine, there are number of courses students can pursue after 10th and also have bright future after completing them. Along with subjects, students should read newspapers daily and literature related books which would help them in future.

Special Officer and Assistant Collector Praveenya said that parents and teachers must encourage students continuously for pursuing higher education. It is the responsibility of the students to fulfil the dreams of their parents, she advised the students.

Later, Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed handed over appreciation certificates and a book written by former president APJ Abdul Kalam to about 72 SSC students studied in Government, Zilla Parishad, Adarsh schools, Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya and Aided schools present across the district during 2018-19 academic year and secured 10 GPA marks in SSC exams.

Later, Assistant Collector Praveenya and District Education Officer Venkateshwarlu had lunch with the students along with Examination Assistant Commissioner Jhansi, Sectoral Officer Raja Bhanu, Anuradha, Srinivas and DTO Srinivas.
