In a relief to the SI woman aspirant who is 28-week-old pregnant, the Telangana High Court on Friday told her to skip the physical test and directed the authorities to permit her for the final test. However, the court asked her to undergo the physical test a month after the declaration of results.

Justice P Naveen Rao, who heard the petition filed by the SI aspirant Prameela directed the authorities to allow her to take the final exam. Prameela, a native of Noothankal in Suryapet has filed the petition appealing the court to allow her for the final written test.

She had cleared the preliminary written test held in August and September 2018 and was also declared fit in the physical measurements tests too. However, she has to take part in 100 meters run, long jump and shot put to qualify for the final test. But the authorities have not allowed her to take part in the tests citing her pregnancy following which she approached the high court.

Allowing her for the final test, the court asked Prameela to submit an undertaking before the Board that she would undergo physical test within one month from the date of publication of results.
