Three from Jagtial held for e-commerce fraud
Three people Jagtial have been arrested by the police for cheating the agents of the e-commerce site by returning fake items.
Three people Jagtial have been arrested by the police for cheating the agents of the e-commerce site by returning fake items.
The arrested identified as Arun Kanth, Venu Madhav, Mohansin, all the trio from Jagtial bought Rs 8 lakh worth products from e-commerce giant Amazon. Later, the trio replaced the items with fake products and returned to the agent.
The agents who learned that the products are replaced approached the police who caught the three and registered the cases under section 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
On January 3, 2020 - four people of a six-member gang were arrested for cheating the people in the name of gifts by making use of the database of popular e-commerce companies. Mobile phones, laptops, SIM cards, fake PAN cards, Aadhaar cards and voter cards were seized from them.
