AICC spokesman Dasoju Sravan alleges the ruling party candidates got tickets by spending `100 crore

Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee spokesman Dasoju Sravan on Tuesday said while the Congress granted statehood to Telangana for the wellbeing of the people, Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao turned it into a liquor capital.

Addressing the media, he said lakhs of youth remained jobless and women neither got neither empowerment nor safety in the TRS regime. Not a single problem being faced by the farmers has been resolved.

For the same reason, hundreds of farmers have entered the fray in Nizamabad constituency, represented by the Chief Minister's daughter Kavitha, to register their protest. This has proved that 'Rythu Bandhu' scheme was ineffective and it is has not solved any problem.

He said, "Do you want one liquor quarter worth Rs 70 for a night being offered by TRS or Rs 72,000 in your account every year offered by the Congress party? One-time Biryani being offered by the TRS candidates might satisfy your hunger for a night before polling.

But Rs 6,000 in your bank account will help your family every month for the next five years. TRS candidates will go away by buying your vote for just Rs 2,000. But Congress Government at the Centre will pay Rs 3.6 lakh in the next five years to nearly 5 crore families in India, including 50 lakh people in Telangana."

He alleged that many TRS candidates purchased the tickets by spending Rs 100 crore. TRS Nalgonda candidate Vemireddy Narasimha Reddy encroached upon the land worth hundreds of crores donated by VIth Nizam Mir Mahboob Ali Pasha for an orphanage.

Ruling party's candidate Nama Nageswara Rao duped the banks to the tune of hundreds of crores. In Mahabubnagar, TRS has neglected Jithender Reddy, who participated in Telangana movement, and gave ticket to Srinivas Reddy by allegedly taking Rs 100 crore, he alleged.

TRS Chevella candidate Ranjit Reddy is an outsider and have spent his entire life doing poultry business, he said.

He said TRS Malkajgiri candidate Marri Rajashekhar Reddy earned money by commercialisation of education.

Similarly, he described Talasani Srinivas Yadav as a betrayer of Telangana movement and said the Chief Minister had given a ticket to Talasani's son Saikiran Yadav from Secunderabad whose prime activity is land grabbing and illegal encroachment.
