TS Govt providing accidental insurance to 11.69 lakh drivers, HGs
Labour Minister Ch. Malla Reddy on Monday informed the Legislative Assembly that the State Government was providing free accidental insurance to the drivers of Transport and Non Transport Vehicles, Working Journalists and Home Guards in the State.
Hyderabad: Labour Minister Ch. Malla Reddy on Monday informed the Legislative Assembly that the State Government was providing free accidental insurance to the drivers of Transport and Non Transport Vehicles, Working Journalists and Home Guards in the State.
In his reply to a question raised by MLA K.P. Vivekanand and others during Question Hour, the minister said that under the Social Security Scheme for "Transport and Non- Transport Auto Drivers / Home Guards/ Working Journalists" in Telangana State with a coverage of Rs.5,00,000/- Accidental Death Insurance as many as 11,69,813 Transport & Non- Transport Auto Drivers, 19,739 - Journalists and 18,095 Home Guards have been covered as beneficiaries to this scheme for the period of one year i.e., 21.09.2018 to 20.09.2019.
