Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) would operate over 4,900 buses from September 27 to October 7 to clear the Dasara festival rush.

TSRTC Executive Director (Operations and Hyderabad Zone) E Yadagiri said as many as 4,933 buses would be operated between September 27 and October 7 from Hyderabad, Secunderabad to other places in neighbouring States.

Yadagiri said that all steps were being taken to provide information to the passengers and avoid any inconvenience. He said that the buses would be operated from Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station, Jubilee Bus Station, CBS, Uppal Crossroads, LB Nagar, Lingampally, Chandanagar, ESIL, KPHB, SR Nagar, Ameerpet, Telephone Bhavan, Dilsukhnagar and other places in twin cities.

The ED further said the supervisors would be on field from October 4 to 7 as the passengers' rush would be further increasing. The Corporation had operated around 4,000 buses during last year.

The Corporation would charge 1.5 per cent charges for the special buses. The officials said since the buses would be coming empty, the Corporation would be charging 50 per cent additional charge. There would be no additional charge on the regular buses run from the major stations, the official added.
