Underground drainage works at a fast clip
Municipal council and officials visited Vikarabad and inspected the solid waste treatment plant (STP) and underground drainage works on Thursday.
Siddipet: Municipal council and officials visited Vikarabad and inspected the solid waste treatment plant (STP) and underground drainage works on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, the officials said around 186-km underground drainage works were completed in Siddipet, out of the works stretching for 324 km. They said that they were ready to links home drains via underground drainage to the STP.
In this respect, the officials informed that they would create awareness among people to use underground drainage system. They sought people's cooperation for success of the programme.
Municipal Commissioner Srinivas Reddy, DE Laxman, Prathap, Municipal Vice-Chairman Aktar Patel, Councillors M Venugopal Reddy, B Mallikarjun, C Prabhakar, Prashant, Mohij, J Kanakaraju, G Srikanth, G Srinivas, J Srinivas Goud and others were present.
