Vivek wants Amit Shah to direct Governer to invoke Section 8
Former TRS leader and Prajaswamika Telangana chief G Vivek met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and urged him to direct Governer to invoke Section 8 to protect government buildings in the state capital.
Hyderabad: Former TRS leader and Prajaswamika Telangana chief G Vivek met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and urged him to direct Governer to invoke Section 8 to protect government buildings in the state capital.
Vivek gave a memorandum to the Union Home Minister in New Delhi and urged him direct Governer E S L Narasimhan to invoke Section 8 of AP Reorganisation Act to protect government buildings in wake of government's decision to construct new Secretariat and Assembly buildings.
Vivek said that state government in 1998 listed Errum Manzil under Archaeological sites but TRS government with malafide intention removed the building from the heritage list.
Vivek said that the existing Assembly building was in 10 Lakh sq sft area and was catering to the needs of 294 MLAs whereas for the Telangana Assembly members 5 Lakh sft space is enough. He wanted the government to direct the Governor to stop the demolition of existing buildings.
