Based on the post-mortem report, the police questioned the accused Fatima who confessed to killing her children. She was produced before a court and sent for judicial remand.
Getting into details, Fatima is said to have slipped into depression over a frequent quarrel with her husband Raheem. Meanwhile, Fatima's two children were found dead on October 26 and it was picturized that the deaths were due to food poisoning. However, the police who sent the bodies for post-mortem learned that the kids were murdered.
The police said that the kids were given insulin injections and sleeping pills and then smothered to death by Fatima. Fatima told the police that she thought of committing suicide and was afraid of their children's future after her death.
