Mancherial: In an incident, a woman was allegedly raped by three men who traped her with a wrong phone call. This incident has taken place in Dandepally village at Mancherial district.

Going into details, a young woman living along with her parents at Dandepally has received a call on her mobile. As it was a wrong call, and she was about to hang up the phone, the person on the other side started to introduce himself that his name is Saikrishna and tried to continue the conversion, but she disconnected the call.

Despite this, he continued to call her. With this, she disclosed the matter with her parents. The next time when he again called her, the girl's father lifted the phone and gave a strong warning to him.

In this context, Saikrishna planned a conning idea. After remaining silent for some time, he again called her. This time, he said that he called to give her a gift and told he'll not call her after that.

Beliving his words, the woman left the house on February 25th to meet Saikrishna. After which, she didn't return back home. The worried parents searched for her in the surrounding areas and later lodged a missing complaint with the police.

On February 27th, she called her relative, and with their help, she approached the police station and filed a complaint.

In the complaint, she stated that Saikrishna called her to come near Ambedkar crossroad to take her gift. When the woman was waiting, Saikrishna arrived in auto and approached her.

After a while, he forcefully made her seat in auto and took to an isolated school building near Ramakrishnapur and raped her along with his friends Shashikanth, Sivakrishna, and another one.

Later, they grabbed her mobile phone and made her stay there for two days. On February 27th, Sivakrishna took her to his sister's place. The victim somehow managed to escape from there and with the help of locals, she informed the matter to her relatives.

Upon receiving the complaint, the police registered a case and initiated the investigation. Recently, the police took the accused into their custody when they were travelling to Karimnagar. Later, the culprits were produced before the court and sent to the judicial remand.
