As many as 100 faculty from four campuses participated in the two-day Inspirational Teacher Training Programme as part of Faculty Development Programme (FDP) which commenced at the IIIT Nuzvid, RGUKT-AP.

Vijayawada: As many as 100 faculty from four campuses participated in the two-day Inspirational Teacher Training Programme as part of Faculty Development Programme (FDP) which commenced at the IIIT Nuzvid, RGUKT-AP. This FDP was intended to enhance the knowledge and skills of the science faculty fraternity of all the 4 campuses of RGUKT-AP.

This programme was organised jointly by IIIT Nuzvid, the Royal Society of Chemistry, Bengaluru, Andhra Pradesh Akademi of Sciences, Amaravati and Science City of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati.

Chief Guest of the programme Prof V Ramachandra Raju, Vice-Chancellor of RGUKT-AP said that faculty should improve their teaching skills, besides developing employability skills to students, develop incubator facilities at the universities which was essential at the present juncture. The university faculty should feel the responsibility to support for the development of society.

Distinguished guest Dr D Raghunadha Rao (from TATA Cancer Centre / TATA memorial hospital, Visakhapatnam) explained about the importance of education. President of Andhra Pradesh Akademi of Sciences, Amaravati, Prof M Basaveswara Rao, Honorary Secretary, AP Akademi of Sciences, Amaravati, Prof A Krishna Rao, CEO, Science City of Andhra Pradesh, Prof C Gangaiah, Registrar, RGUKT-AP, Prof D Suryachandra Rao, Director, IIIT Nuzvid, Padma Prabhu, Royal Society of Chemistry, Bengaluru and Karima Anjun, Royal Society of Chemistry, Bengaluru were present.
