19 villages of Polavaram Mandals are still under floods

Amaravati: The floods in river Godavari continues to rise in the West Godavari district. The floodwater is overflowing from the Edduvagu bridge in Veerullapadu Mandal.

With this, the transport got effected, and 19 villages of Polavaram Mandals are still underwater. With the reduction of floodwater at Kademma sluice bridge, the traffic is likely to restore by Monday evening.

The Lanka villages under Achanta Mandal are also underwater, where the livelihood of Puchalanka, Ayodhya Lanka, Anagarilanka and many other villages got effected. The floodwater is continuing to overflow from Kanakayalanka causeway, Yalamunchili Lanka causeway.
