On the occasion of 180th World Photography Day, a display of 240 vivid photographs captured by the photo journalists from the city were exhibited at Visakha Museum on Monday. Vizag Photo Journalists Association organised the two-day photo exhibition which concludes on August 20.

Visakhapatnam: On the occasion of 180th World Photography Day, a display of 240 vivid photographs captured by the photo journalists from the city were exhibited at Visakha Museum on Monday. Vizag Photo Journalists Association organised the two-day photo exhibition which concludes on August 20.

District Collector V Vinay Chand, GVMC Commissioner G Srijana and Joint Collector L Shiva Shankar inaugurated the event. The exhibition featured a wide array of pictures shot by 28 photo journalists from the city.

The visitors were attracted by scenic photographs, several school and college children attended the event were also seen making a beeline down the stair and took a great deal of interest in each one of them. "I like the action photos they look authentic and I am really awed by one of the scenic photo of Araku Valley," says Kiran , a visitor.

Most of the photographs were focused on civic scene, action photos, sports, competition and human interest. Besides, the exhibition also showcased two award winning photo-journalists. A photo journalist from the exhibition says,

"Every photo has a story to tell and I like clicking candid photos and natural photographs of new born babies less than nine months because they have a natural smile."
