KIMS Icon Hospitals organised a ‘six-minute-long jog challenge’ on Saturday on the eve of the ‘World Heart Day.’

Visakhapatnam: KIMS Icon Hospitals organised a 'six-minute-long jog challenge' on Saturday on the eve of the 'World Heart Day.' It was held as part of the week-long 'Fit India Movement' programme wherein the hospital has been promoting awareness about leading a healthy life among the visitors at its premises. The challenge was to jog continuously for six minutes.

Around 300 members participated in the programme. Speaking about the activity, consultant interventional cardiologist, KIMS Hospitals, P Rajendra Kumar Jain said, "We have taken this initiative to promote the importance of fitness among public.

We hope to bring in change among people on the importance of indulging in physical activity that helps lower bad cholesterol and decreases the risk of lifestyle diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes."
