Agriculture Minister K Kanna Babu lauds Francis' services in Kakinada
On the eve of retirement function of M Francis, Joint Director, I&PR department, Minister of Agriculture K Kanna Babu said that the services rendered by Francis were irreplaceable and needs to be applauded.
Kakinada: On the eve of retirement function of M Francis, Joint Director, I&PR department, Minister of Agriculture K Kanna Babu said that the services rendered by Francis were irreplaceable and needs to be applauded.
While participating in felicitation function of M.Francis at ZP Kalyanamandapams Kakinada on Saturday, he said that Franics was a very committed worker. He recalled their relationship over the past 20 years and how they worked together when he was the Bureau-Chief and Francis was the DPRO of West Godavari.
He also said Francis was very near and dear to him and officers like him need to work for the welfare of the people, post- retirement and is willing to offer him a higher position after speaking with the officials,
District Collector Muralidhar Reddy who also attended the meeting said that,the position Francis was holding was very crucial and sensitive, he reckoned, even though he worked with him only for a few months, he was able to accomplish his duty successfully and was a cool and composed person.
Francis, who joined as Divisional Public Relations Officer in the year 1985 retired as Joint Director after 34 years of service in the I&PR Department, he worked in various challenging and sensitive areas during his tenure of 34 years.
His posting was in Krishna District and played a vital role in various events such a Godavari Pushkaralu, Nandi Natakotsavam, Kakinada Beach Festival, he played a pivotal role in passing on government schemes to the public. Joint Collector Lakshmi Shaw, Joint Collector 2 Rajeshwari and other officials attended the meeting.
