Anantapur: A delegation from the district unit of AP Union of Working Journalists has met the District Collector Gandham Chandrudu and urged him to provide financial and other assistance to eight journalists who were tested Covid positive and are being treated at various government hospitals.
District APUWJ president T Lakshminarayana, secretary B Srinivasa Reddy, organising secretary Payyavula Praveen and treasurer CH Choudpappa have urged the Collector to provide better treatment to the journalists and release fund for their treatment and welfare.
They also urged the Collector to come to the rescue of the journalists' families in this hour of need.
