Nelapadu (Amaravati): The division bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Thursday issued notices to the Chief Secretary, special chief secretary, the director general of police and three others returnable in four weeks on the formation of the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB).

Srinivasa Rao of Prakasam district filed a writ petition in the court stating that there was no legal sanction to the formation of the SEB. He said in his petition that the SEB could not be formed by merely issuing GO No 41.

The division bench issued notices to the six officials wanting to know under what rules and regulations the SEB was formed.
